Your acceptance of the terms and conditions below are a prerequisite to process your reservation.
Pre-payment by credit card and confirmation from Coromandel Sea Kayaks Ltd is accepted as confirmation of your booking.
All transactions are conducted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Due to exchange rate fluctuations, at times there may be some variance in the amounts refunded compared to the amount initially charged. Coromandel Sea Kayaks Ltd does not accept any liability for these variances or any subsequent credit card/bank charges relating to these transfers to customer's accounts.
All agreements and contracts shall be subject solely to New Zealand law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. In the event of a cancellation or amendment to your booking, notification period is in NZ time (NZST).
All travellers accept responsibility for all personal items taken on any Coromandel Sea Kayaks trip. Coromandel Sea Kayaks is not responsible for the loss/damage to personal items taken on any of our trips.
All instructions given by our guides should be followed at all times during our trips. These instructions are for the safety of all travellers and to ensure the best experience is had by all.
Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation or amendment to your booking, refunds will only be granted when Coromandel Sea Kayaks receives notification at least 48 hours prior (NZ time) to departure date.
In the event of cancellation due to weather a transfer to an alternate day or full refund will be offered to those booked on any trips.
Departures are subject to minimum numbers. In the event we do not depart due to minimum numbers not being met, a transfer to an alternative day or full refund will be offered.
Physical conditions: If you are unable to swim, of poor physical health or have any medical conditions, which you may feel impact your ability to paddle, follow instruction or swim, these must be disclosed to staff prior to departure. If you are deemed physically unfit to engage within the activity the cost of the trip will be refunded.
To transfer the date of travel of a booking 24 hours’ notice must be given to Coromandel Sea Kayaks.
Overnight kayaking trips: it is the responsibility of the traveller to pack adequate gear and food to ensure they are warm, dry and fed (see ‘what to bring’ in overnight trip details.
Risk Disclosure
Sea Kayaking and overnight camping involves certain risks and there may be hazards encountered during the adventure. These include (but are not limited to) winds, rough water conditions, rock/reefs, boats and other marine vessels, marine wildlife and floating or other objects. Detailed risk management and strict safety procedures are observed, however, there still remains an element of risk. Coromandel Sea Kayaks cannot absolutely guarantee participants safety. Coromandel Sea Kayaks accepts its legal responsibilities but cannot be held responsible for personal injury or for loss, theft or damage of/to your equipment outside of our legal responsibilities. Participants will be required to sign a liability form to this effect before starting a tour.
